House System
In 2024, Glendal Primary School’s House System was rebranded to meaningfully integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our school life. The city of Monash is situated on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples, both of whom are part of the Kulin Nation.
The new House names are:
Yellow House
Wiin (Fire)
The Woi Wurrung symbol represents Ngawan – the Sun.
Red House
Biik (Land/Country)
The Woi Wurrung symbol represents a meeting place.
Blue House
Banjmin (Rain)
The Woi Wurrung symbol represents Bamabil – the Rain.
Green House
Murnmut (Wind)
The Woi Wurrung symbol represents a cloud being moved by the murnmut (wind)
